2002:
The Green Party of Mississippi qualified for statewide
ballot status in April 2002.
In Mississippi, the criteria for qualification for statewide ballot status
is to be organized as a state party and recognized as such by the Secretary
of State's Office..
To be organized as a state party would include demonstrating to state elections
officials that the party has statewide officers, as well as in each of the state's
four US House districts.
The Green Party of Mississippi became an official party and achieved statewide ballot status when its registration was accepted by the Secretary of State's Office on April 4, 2002.
